South band side of road diagonally opposite the missing road gulley cover/grating on northbound side outside Ash Green reported on Friday 19/01/2024, 22nd January
Missing gulley cover/drainage grating assumed stolen on night of 21/01/2024. Traffic cone warning of hazard to motorists in northbound side gulley also stolen so with two missing covers and 3ft drops, this is now a serious hazard to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. The council should increase the risk rating and get a work party to the incident location a lot quicker than 14 days response time already quoted as this is an accident waiting to happen. Please get in touch for further information.

Road side gulley drain cover on north bound side of road outside Ash Green. A road cone has been placed in hole to warn drivers and cyclists. You will see this cone before you get to All Saints Church, 19th January
Missing gulley drain/manhole cover, assumed stolen. This is posing a high hazard to motorists and especially cyclists. If a bike wheel went down this hole, this would throw a cyclist off the bike potentially causing death. Please note that the drain has not been cleared of leaves or mud for some time so the cone is just held up by this. However with the weight of a car wheel or human body, these leaves would collapse exposing the casualty to the full drop of the gulley/drain.

No access to village, 2nd January
The village has a post office and a co-op and a local shop , both shops are at bottom of village road. The railway bridge is a constant issue with the drains not working correctly.
I have lived here for 2 years and residents tell me this has been happening for 25 years..
You can’t get through on the road as the flooding causes both the road and the pavement to become not passable.
I don’t drive and so access to shop is important.
Yet today can’t get to it .
