Distance stated on 'services' sign misleading, 1st January
On the A1 Northbound carriageway there is a sign stating 'Blyth Services 2/3m' indicating that the turn off for the services is 2/3 mile ahead. However the sign is located only about 250yds from the slip road (between the 300yd and 200 yd countdown markers). As a result drivers seeking the services may be unprepared to enter this slip road believing there is a further access downstream to the services ahead.

40 mph speed limit, 18th April
Not sure if the signs are just not clear enough or because we live on a long stretch of road but most people DO NOT adhere to the 40 mph speed limit. Some go past at around what seems like 70mph As a mother of young children I worry that my own and those children of others living on this road are very vulnerable at such speeds

Footpath becoming unusable due to overgrown bush., 8th July
A bush which has prickly spikes on it is overgrowing the footpath and is currently taking up approximately 2/3 of the footpath. When I am pushing my child's pushchair past this bush, even with the wheels on the kerb edge the bush it is catching the buggy, it will not be long before I will not be able to use this section of path: a; because I will not physically be able to get the pushchair past it and b; for the fear of the spiky branches hitting my child. This bush is on the land of 3 Ryton Close and the said footpath is outside of this address.
