FIXMYSTREET IN CW11 4SZ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CW11 4SZ:
Corner of Parkhouse Drive & Doddington Drive, Sandbach, CW11 1Y, 16th May
You can see from the images attached that this section of road has become an area for people to leave cars during the day and head off somewhere else. it is now so overused that it is used all along one side meaning that visibility on a greater than 90 degree bend is totally obscured and drivers have to pull out without being able to see what is coming and pedestrians are unable to cross due to obscured views. In the images you will see a grey Kia, registration LR66 VWK that has chosen to park at the absolute end of the road, on the corner so anyone coming round the bend has to go onto the opposite side of the road but cannot see due to the number of vans parked - and these vans are not people living or working in the area, instead they are meeting here, leaving their vans and cars working elsewhere and using this a a free car-park. this is an ongoing issue with cars and vans regularly left. Residents have now taken to leaving their cars on the road to stops vans and cars blocking their access.

Road collapsing again every, 16th May
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the ongoing issues with the drainage lids on A534 Congleton Road CW11 4SN. Over the past few years, we have repeatedly experienced incidents where the drainage lids collapse and create substantial noise. On one alarming occasion, a lid was dislodged and propelled into the air, landing on the road and nearly causing serious accidents.
The noise generated by these faulty drainage covers is extremely disruptive and far exceeds acceptable levels. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, noise that causes distress or interferes with the comfort of individuals can be considered a statutory nuisance. If an individual were to generate such noise, they could be cautioned for breach of the peace.
Moreover, the current traffic volume on our road has significantly increased due to the diversion from the new bypass from Manchester. The heavy traffic, particularly from large trucks, is not only exacerbating the drainage lid issue but also causing severe vibrations. Our houses shakes whenever trucks pass by, raising concerns about structural damage and personal safety. According to the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, vibrations should be minimized to prevent detrimental effects on health and safety.
Given that the road is on sand, it is clearly not equipped to handle the diverted traffic, further contributing to the instability of the drainage covers. The significant noise and vibrations from the traffic, coupled with the risk posed by dislodged drainage lids, require immediate attention.
I urge the council to take prompt action to address these issues, which pose serious risks to both safety and quality of life. This includes repairing or replacing the faulty drainage covers and reassessing the traffic management plan to reduce the load. I have contacted Highways who have directed me to this page.
Yours sincerely, Zoe Price

Opposite Chimney House hotel and along Church Lane, 14th May
Please can Church Lane be litter picked from Congleton Road to the M6 Bridge? There is litter everywhere along this road and it is supposed to be a pretty country lane next to a beautiful listed church. I reported this problem a couple of weeks ago and got a notification it was 'fixed'. It has not been 'fixed' at all. The road is a mess and needs all the litter picking asap before people start using it for fly tipping. Many thanks, I look forward to this road be tidied up (it would have made perfect sense to do this whilst the road was closed last week).

Around 200 yards from the junction of Love lane with Newcastle Road, 3rd May
This pothole is around 10cm deep and approximately 70cm long and 25cm wide. It has very sharp edges and has damaged my tyre and wheel. This is close to the edge of the carriageway and has clearly been deteriorating for a while and represents the poor condition in which this road is maintained.

All over the road from Congleton Road to the M6 bridge, 30th April
Please can this road be litter picked. There is litter everywhere. Issues are often reported on this road but I think they are ignored as it is a country lane. However, this is effectively used as a bypass to Sandbach and J17 at peak times. Please can this road be litter picked and pot holes fixed as it is in a very poor state of repair. Thanks.

Left Hand carriageway, in direction towards Congleton, just before brow of the hill and the cottages on opposite side of road., 29th April
Extremely large and deep pot hole, getting bigger as traffic can not avoid it. Road is used by lots of HGVs which add to making it bigger. Often obscured by water during heavy rain. Nasty for light 4 wheeled vehicles and HIGHLY DANGEROUS to two wheeled cycles.

Immediately before the bridge in direction towards Chimney House Hotel i.e. towards the main Congleton road, 29th April
Very large deep pothole which has been here for some months now. It is often hidden under the floodwaters from the blocked drains. It is exceptionally big and very deep and downright dangerous, especially when two vehicles are passing at this spot and there is no option to avoid it.!

Deep pothole outside no 4, 27th April
There is a very deep pothole outside my neighbours house and as heavy trucks run over it it’s causing my whole house to shake. The heavy weight of the vehicles on the Congleton Road really needs to be looked at - virtually all the manhole/drainage covers are destroyed - and the road surface is deteriorating badly - as is my house and the cracks in my ceilings and walls! Please send a team out to repair it again! Thank you.

Davenport Lane near to Illidge Green Farm, 26th April
Glass dumped in lay-by. Reported 19th April (declared as fixed), reported again 23rd April (declared as fixed), reported for a third time 25th April (declared closed - told to report to another authority). Today (26th April) I am reporting this for the 4th time. The glass is STILL there! With the greatest of respect, what is the purpose of this platform if you don't fix the problems that are reported?

Davenport Lane, 25th April
Glass has been dumped in the lay-by. Previously reported twice on this platform (and twice declared as fixed!). These photo's were taken at 09:38 this morning (25th April) - I promise I'm not submitting the same photo's each time I report this (the conditions are wet today due to rain (previous photos were in dry conditions). I'm not sure what the problem with removing this item is? I can only think that maybe the clean up team is only checking the first lay-by that they encounter, not finding anything and saying the problem is solved (there are multiple lay-by stops on the lane!)
