Tue, 14 May 2024 15:05:47 +0100

The road markings for some months at this junction are so poor that it is not clear that chapel street does not continue and that chapel street flows round into cross street, there needs to be clear stop markings on the junction so that drivers travelling from St John's lane direction realise they need to stop here as they dont have priority at this junction.

Cars parking in turning point despite no parking signs, 9th May

Thu, 09 May 2024 22:06:15 +0100
52.38597 -1.281277

There is often illegally parked cars in the turning point reducing turning space. There is no parking written on the floor but thats it. This has been happening for years with no resolution. Its harder for the residents of our street who own larger cars that cant make the turn when its been reduced by illegal parking, which are a good amount of the residents of the street. They'll not just park in the l shaped section of the turning point but the bit just before the writing, again, reducing turning space. We have a private bus that picks up children from our street that has to be able to turn and cant thanks to cars being parked there

Several trees have been cut badly at the top of Sheepcote Drive onto School Street. The trees are now dangerously resting on branches, with one leaning towards the road. The only entrance/exist to Sheepcote drive which if they fall and not cleared quickly no emergency services can enter the road putting lives and homes at risk. One of the trees is leaning towards the electric housing station right next to the trees. This has been reported to local councillors and added on here months ago but the trees have again been damaged.

Sun, 17 Mar 2024 10:23:24 +0000
52.380872 -1.305216

The pavement along this road (back lane to the green) could benefit from being wider. As the new section on back lane is wider but then narrows considerably towards The Green. Maybe request the developer to change the pavement. It’s also littered with debris and broken glass.

Park equipment damaged requires attention, 17th March

Sun, 17 Mar 2024 10:19:03 +0000
52.380872 -1.305216

The outdoor park equipment needs attention; 1. The bop it machine does not work and appears to have been broken with parts missing. 2. The multi use astroturf area needs the netting repaired or replaced as there are sharp edges to it 3. The zip line needs tightening up. It’s sagging when kids use it. It’s not a difficult fix. 4. The few bins that are around the parks need repairs or replacements. 5. Maybe a few more benches/tables would be beneficial. 6. Better access for people to use the wc.

The house on the corner of West Street and Chapel Street insists on parking a big Range Rover on the junction. Anybody travelling down West Street to Chapel Street has to go on the wrong side of the road, this is extremely dangerous and will only be a matter of time before an accident happens.
