FIXMYSTREET IN CA9 3PN
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CA9 3PN:
2 x 18"x12" potholes in centtre of road, 3rd March
12 months have passed and I'm reporting the same series of potholes again!! When is something permanent going to be done with these two holes. This is the third year I've reported them. Each year they are filled in with a couple of shovels full of tarmac and left for cars to flatten them down and each year, come winter, the tarmac fails and the holes appear again. What a waste of time and money!! For goodness sake do a permanent job, please :-)

Series of potholes and crumbling surface either side of county boundary signs, 26th February
Pothole in the middle of road on Cumbria side of boundary. Crumbling side of road going north on Northumberland side of boundary. Conisdering this is a national cycle route (7) the whole length between the A689 and Carrshields needs attention. These are ongoing problems I have reported before. They have been "repaired" many times with the usual dollop of tatmac which crumbles away after a month or so. What a waste of time, effort and materials

3-4 inch large pothole on hillersdon/vicarage terrace in Nenthead, Cumbria, 12th February
This is just one of several potholes on this street and has been here for well over 3 months now. It is now measuring at over 3.5 inches. There are more potholes opening up along the terrace.
This particular pothole has damaged my car by breaking the rear spring that I have had to get fixed and I will be seeking compensation for this.

Drainage, blocked ditches, plastic all over the road causing flooding, 16th February
Grassfield Farm on the backroad from the A689 Alston to Nenthead, the road leads past Hayring Farm. At Grassfield farm there is about 15 years worth of of silage bags blocking the ditches and causing water to run over the surface of the road, ices over in bad weather and becomes a real hazard. Also looks terrible.
