FIXMYSTREET IN CA8 7NS
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CA8 7NS:
This was reported to a NCC person parked nearby around the time who was going to reportt back. Its a slot drain outside our property that is filled with silt., 26th March
The water and debris runs off the highway or is splashed up from passing vehicles into the slotted drain outside our property. The water also runs down and starts backing up from the lane running down close by opposite village hall as all the ditches are also blocked. We try our best to clear them ourselves but need the machine to do it. When the A689 was resurfaced, it made the road higher so more runs off down to our property, plus puddles collate in the road which passing vehicles ( 60mph road) empty over me when I walk out of the house. ( Christmas day I got soaked head to foot taking dogs out). It was emailed at the time to councillor Hutchinson but nothing has ever been done. The flooding in January was close to the front door ( the water also comes up under our dinning room floor) but my husband managed to prevent it. We flooded badly in 2012 and tge gulley machine came out and cleared it but its not been done since. Please help. Thank you.

At least six deep potholes on hill up from level crossing due to water always running down road., 10th February
These are the sort of potholes that can do serious damage to a vehicle. Potholes have been there for at least 6 weeks, if not longer. Water is always running down the hill, probably due to blocked ditches.
