Permanent standing water on road. Now made worse by farmer installing a pipe from his field directly onto the road to allow the field to drain. When it rains the water is excessive. The third photo is another area of road midway between Marsh House and East & West Border. Despite it having been a relatively dry year, water trickles from a field on the west side of the road., 7th October
Water runoff from fields permanently affecting the road. As noted above, one section of road has sat under water constantly for approx 12 months. Grass verges damaged adding to mud in both areas (but not shown on these photos as these were taken about a month ago)

Hedges and excessive verge grass limiting space on roadway, 14th June
Excessively long grass (approx 1m high) on verges and uncut hedges for approx 3/4 mile. This is a single track road already very narrow and is made worse by the overhanging hedges and grasses which protrude into the roadway. It is like driving through an extremely narrow tunnel with vehicle paintwork being scratched by vegetation as there is no room for manouver. Hedges have been left overgrown for some years; some verge space which allowed vehicles to pass pedestrians and horses is now non-existent in some places. Pressure should be put on landowners to ensure hedges on roadside fields in such locations are cut back to maintain an unobstructed roadway and verge space.
