FIXMYSTREET IN CA6 4HS
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CA6 4HS:
Time between green lights is out of sync, 3rd April
The time between green lights is far too long when entering the roundabout at Jct 44 from the A689. The ridiculously long tone between green lights causes traffic jams around a mile long at times. The tone on green is good but the tone on stop is far too long!

Large pothole (approx 18" at widest point) and 2.5-3" deep at the sides (deeper in the centre), 31st March
Pothole has been here since January 2024 (and developing prior to that). Other repairs were carried out on the road during February, but this hole was not included. It is right in the line where people cycle and even on a dry day is full of water. In wet weather it is impossible to see the hole causing people cycling to swerve into the middle of the road putting them at risk of people driving motor vehicles colliding in to them.

Pothole getting bigger and more an a car wheel in length, 20th March
The pothole in the road , outside Autotech is now so big that a car wheel will get stuck in it. it is now about 3 feet into the road with cars parked on the right and is getting difficult to miss. Lorries which use the road all day (deliveries to Carrs Billington, mechanical repairs at NW Van, Graham Commercials, ALS Motor Care, Protyre Tyre Services) have no choice but to hit it and thus are making it bigger. This has been getting a bigger problem for about 2 months.

Traffic lights not sequencing correctly, 16th August
The traffic lights that allow traffic to enter the roundabout from the A689 eastbound (Asda side) are only allowing a small handful of vehicles through at once. This is causing big delays particularly during the evening rush. Took 20+ mins to get through tonight. The lights on the roundabout have been worse since changes were made a while ago.

Traffic lights sync issues, 31st May
I have just been on this roundabout and 2 vehicles made it through the lights from Longtown due to the traffic off the motorway (from North) waiting at the next set of lights, at the next light change 3 cars went through on red! At busy periods, the signals seem to stop traffic proceeding around the roundabout which causes build ups on the roundabout, but also the other roads leading to this. Please could this be looked into? This is becoming dangerous as people are loosing their patience.
