FIXMYSTREET IN CA2 7HZ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CA2 7HZ:
Several damaged areas of tarmac and raised or sunken drain covers, 4th April
The damaged road and sunken/ raised drain covers are getting worse. This is on a busy bus route and when buses or other heavy vehicles hit the sunken and raised drain covers my house shakes and I think this is causing damage to the property. I have raised the issue before but nothing was done. The gas supply under this road was leaking last year and I believe this was the root cause.

Overgrown trees blocking windows and growing under roof tiles, 3rd August
The trees in Red Bank Terrace are completely overgrown and now causing problems with them growing under roof tiles and into peoples windows so they can’t open them and also blocking cars from parking outside properties. Cumberland Council don’t respond to emails, phone calls or general enquiries. The local MP has asked them for maintenance programme but this still has not been provided. The trees should be pollarded at least every two or three years but really should be annually as they are very invasive. The streets outside are cobbled and the greenfly sap also causes the roads and pavements to become very slippery and dangerous for residents and we’re all simply fed up of nothing been done or even responded to. I’ve previously logged this problem with you before and the Council did contact me to acknowledge this have since done nothing to alleviate these problematic trees which serve absolutely no benefits to any of us and are far to close to the houses so they need regular maintenance which is not currently provided.
