Road in very poor condition on steep section, 6th November
There are multiple potholes and the tarmac is generally in very poor condition. In addition, it was covered with mud and construction debris (there appeared to be building work taking place further down the hill). The road is supposed to be part of cycle route 88, but is unsafe for cycling and not good for road traffic. It is worst on the steepest gradient (by the arrow on the map).

Potholes all over road, 12th July
The road surface is breaking up across the width of the road downhill from the "SLOW" marking on the road. Multiple 'repairs' have now started failing again, leaving gravel and holes everywhere.

Huge potholes, 31st January
This route is the route that I’ve been forced to take from the a 48 as the Llantrithyd lanes are so dangerous they are practically impossible to pass due to numerous potholes however the potholes on this roads are now becoming even more dangerous some of them are 2 m long by a metre wide by about 6 to 8 inches deep there is probably 20 or more extremely large potholes along this road going towards the Barry Road/airport the sides of the road are crumbling away and the tractors make the holes deeper

Pavement outside the last house in the village are in very bad condition., 15th July
The pavement has vehicles stopping on it to give way to other vehicle coming in the opposite direction. One slab is roughly 2" above the next one. The council remove the slabs in front of the 2 other houses and tarmacked the pavement and this to be lasting longer. Why they didn't do it all, I have no idea.

Slippery tarmac, 6th July
This stretch of road is ALWAYS wet from run-off. Tarmac has become so slippery that it is a danger. Fell off bike twice in two years along here - yesterday on a dry warm day while riding in a straight line through wet patch. Lethal - and a lawsuit waiting to happen. Probably from me!

Pothole, 24th April
Another dangerous pothole on this road just past the entrance to Tyn y Coed Farm towards the A48. Again caused by the patching of the lane and leaving a ramp onto the old road. This causes vehicles to bounce on the surface creating holes. If the patching had tied in to the road this wouldn't happen, but it has happened on 90% of the patches done on this lane. This one is on a particularly narrow part so all heavy vehicles have no choice but to go over it.

Several between Abernant and Greendown. Worst are where resurfaced road meets old road and are nearer to stables at top of hill. The whole of one side of the road is crumbling between Abernant and the top of the hill

General degradation, 18th January
This lane is now in a dreadful state. The road surface from Llanvythin Mill to Abernant Cottage has almost totally disintegrated and only tarmac left in the middle of the lane. It is a track not a road. Also there stillare about 50 potholes, about a dozen at least illegal and dangerous even though the worst ones were finakky filled in recently. Extremely large ones around Leige Manor. There is flooding on 4 major points because lack of drainage, which also causes potholes which have only been patched as nauseam, to reappear every few weeks. This lane is a total disgrace and needs complete resurfacing urgently from Llanvithyn to Greendown.
