Rain leads to significant flooding, 20th October
Poor road drainage has resulted in the road cosntantly flooding during and after rain. This is on a blind bend and often cars have to pick their way through using the middle of the road, which represents a significant hazard. The image shows the road after the flooding has begun to subside, but you can see the clear path through is in the middle of the road. This needs to be addressed before there is an accident on this bend.

16 blocked roadside manholes and some have been tarmaced over, 10th May
Between Clavering Blacksmiths Corner and Parsonage Farm lane the vast majority of roadside drains are totally full and unable to drain the road. One has even tarmacced over the cast iron grating. This was reported to ECC Councillor ray Gooding on 6th January 2022 and a reminder again on 6th February. Nothing has been done and the emails were never acknowledged.

Blocked drain/ditch, 15th May
There is a blocked drain/ditch here which causes water to flood across and along the road for 30 or 40 yards every time it rains and often for days afterwards too. It then turns to ice when below freezing. Not great on a sharp bend.

Badly damaged verge and drain/ditch, 15th May
A vehicle (probably HGV) has clearly got stuck here recently and destroyed the verge and blocked a drain/ditch. As well as being dangerous to other road users it will also cause the road to flood during heavy rain.
