Road inadequate, 3rd April
This road is a link between areas of development taking increased traffic. It is single with passing bays. No signage but road is not coping with drops at sides where traffic pass off road. Passing bays have nor been maintained and full of ravines causing drivers to avoid them having to go off road.

Blocked drains, 1st October
The road drain has so much compacted silt that vegetation is now growing out of it.
In reality, all the drains on Pelham Road, except one, on both sides of the road are similarly blocked.

These have been here for a long time and growing. They are craters but the reporting system on Essex highways does not register the road...this is urgent before a huge accident.

Signage and potholes and unmaintained passing bays, 11th September
A narrow lane which two cars cannot pass with no warning signage and passing bays in very poor condition, potholes common. The state of this road from Rickling towards Berden is shocking and heavily used. Vehicles driving too fast along a very narrow lane forcing cars off road as no signs nor maintained passing bays...really poor

Path has disintegrated, 26th February
After several flood issues from Wicken Water and blocked drains this winter, cars have been driven over the only footpath on the B1038 through Wicken Bonhunt next to Wicken Water. Consequently the path has been completely washed away leaving a dangerous tarmacadam sharp edge instead of a smooth walkway.

A resident reported to me that while walking her dog, her foot tripped on this exposed manhole, causing her to fall onto the highway and damage her knee. It’s on B1038 Wicken Bonhunt between Howlands Farm Cottage and the farm gate., 15th June

Blocked drain/ditch, 15th May
There is a blocked drain/ditch here which causes water to flood across and along the road for 30 or 40 yards every time it rains and often for days afterwards too. It then turns to ice when below freezing. Not great on a sharp bend.
