Playground Upgrade, 29th April
Good morning,
I wanted to contact you to discuss the council investing in new play equipment at Southborough Park. As a council tax payer and local resident I truly believe the park needs investment. It is used daily by a number of schools and really for a park of its size its underwhelming the variety and quality of the equipment. We have family who live in Brentwood and the facility that they have is simply stunning compared to the rusty and out of date equipment that our children have to play with, the safety flooring is starting to disintegrate away leaving trip hazards. The focus of the park in Brentwood is very immersive (sounds and touch based) and have an eco focus with much of the equipment made from recycled materials.
It has been months that large fences have been up protecting use of one piece of equipment, It really looks awful and just unloved.
I would really like my children to grow up with fond memories of their local park, however we are reaching the point of having to walk far further to other parks as the safety and quality of the equipment at Southborough is so poor.
Kind Regards
