Repair to tree root damaged pavement outside 59 High Street B95 5AA, 31st January
The tree root which has damaged the pavement outside 59 High Street B95 5AA has been ‘addressed’ However, the area has been Patch repaired with Tarmac in a rounded lump which is as much, if not more of a hazard as the tree root itself.
Surely when completing a task issues of safety are taken into consideration before work is signed off as completed satisfactorily?

Luminous Water running along Footpath from Golf Club to Birmingham RD, 1st January
Whilst walking over the weekend we noticed a blocked Drain at the Golf Club end entrance to footpath which runs past the Henley Town Carpark.
Water was over flowing and running down the right hand side of the footpath, it had a cloudy grey appearance which changed to a bright Turqouise and pooled by the kissing gate from the path by the Birmingham Road.
Not sure why this was occurring or what was causing the discolouration, but it was a little disconcerting to see. Especially when in proximity to a public footpath where people regularly walk with children and pets.

Flagrant waste of residents money, 8th December
In the past week my household has received a plasticised notification attached to our waste bin. Today we have received, through the expensive means of the postal system, not one, but two cards addressed to the occupier containing the exact same information.
This is a flagrant waste of money, in times of heightened financial stress to all residents. With Councils going bust it is no wonder, given the practice Stratford Council have adopted regarding these notifications.
Not to mention the impact on the Green agenda, words fail me. Plasticised, or sent on expensive card via post, who on earth thought up this ridiculous arrangement?
The only winners here are the printing firm and Royal Mail
How do you as the Council justify this action? Are the Council unable to see worthy causes within the area that local residents would prefer the Council contributed to, rather than such a waste of public funds.
As if life wasn’t problematic enough, those who seem to think they set a shining example to others with their ever changing agendas, choose to notify us minions, by the most costly of means.
Costly not only by the carbon footprint mode of delivery, but also by a dreadful environmentally unfriendly medium.

Multiple potholes (up to 12 inches) on Millfield Court between the entrance to this road and the river bridge., 13th October
Deep and wide potholes that have existed for over 12 months causing vehicles to swerve in to the opposite direction to avoid them. The potholes are too deep and wide to risk running a vehicle over them.

Overgrown Footpath Birmingham Road, 28th August
The footpath from Henley High Street to Buckley Green and beyond is becoming unwalkable. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED BEFORE . The footpath It follows a very busy road and is used by school children regularly to get to the school. The bushes and hedging are overgrown and the footpath is narrow. Traffic is fast moving as most ignore the speed limit. Bushes and overgrowth along the paths needs to be cut back and the tarmac pathways cleared. We pay Council tax to provide a service and are told to be greener at least provide some provision if service to make this route safe to walk especially with the onset of the new term imminent.

2 x loose fitting clanky manhole covers, 28th April
Hi. Immediately adjacent to 80 High Street, Henley in Arden, there are two manhole covers that have become worn and now clank loudly whenever traffic passes over them. To avoid confusion, these are not the same manhole covers outside of Dolce Caffe that were the subject of another report. The noise from these two manhole covers adjacent to 80 High Street is very loud and in the opposing lane to those outside of Dolce Caffe meaning that any time a vehicle passes in either direction, they will hit one of these loose fitting manhole covers which will then clank extremely loudly. The noise is far worse at night when the roads are quiet and cars speed through the town hitting the covers at high speed. 2 Worn Manhole Covers Clanking, 28th April
Hi. The two manhole covers directly between Dolce Caffe and EH Smith Bathrooms have become worn and now continually clank everytime traffic passes over them. This is an extremely busy street being the main route (other than the motorway) for traffic from Shirley/Solihull in the direction of Stratford. Even with secondary glazing these clanking covers are now waking residents multiple times a night.
