None of the PROW in my area are Disabled Friendly., 20th January
I am disabled…and like to get out on my Tramper scooter with my dogs. All footpaths around me have kissing gates or stiles so are inaccessible. Or they have a pedestrian gate which is about 2 inches too narrow. The local bridleway in Wike Lane is only accessible for a few weeks in the summer as it holds a lot of water…and has deep ruts caused by forestry 4x4 and the shoot. And the end part of bridleway that crosses a field …was ploughed up 2 yrs ago and is deep ruts and mud where it comes out of Coughton Park 06 on your map…and joins Alcester Heath Road/ Hanging Well. I feel trapped…and just want to get off our dangerous lanes with all the speeding traffic. I’ve lived in Sambourne 38 yrs. l belong to Disabled Ramblers…fb group…and when l see all the lovely routes they use …and the results they get when they express their rights…l feel l must PROTEST…as l know l have my RIGHTS. And l am not …of course ..the only disabled person who is entitled to use PROW’s
