Dangerous parking either side of station entrance, 20th January
Cars regularly park on the pavement outside Castle Cary railway station despite police no waiting cones. Pedestrians can no longer use the pavement and have to resort to walking in the road. The A371 Is a dangerous road at the best of times as heavy goods vehicles are sent this way from the 303 rather than via the A37 because of the low bridge at Lydford. What is now happening is a result of no yellow lines along this stretch of the road. It is very very dangerous and no one seems to be taking responsibility. Please please can you action this urgently

A large number of beer cans have been dumped in a ditch at the site indicated on the map. To get there go west down South Cary Lane, turn left and then take first right over railway bridge. The litter is on the left in a pullin. They can be taken away in a van.

Rubbish looks to have bounced off a trailer on way to Dimmer recycling, 16th June
Rubbish is scattered along the back lane to past Dimmer Farm. Before Dimmer bridge, after Dimmer bridge and before junction with Dimmer Lane.

Blocked drains, 4th June
On this corner on the A371, the drain is completely blocked and the one further up is also blocked, this is resulting in the road flooding every time it rains . Cars are therefore moving on to the other side of the road on a bend to avoid the flood.

Flytipping on road from Cary to Dimmer recycling centre, 8th May
After the railway bridge and just before the left hand bend. There are piles of grass mowings dumped. More seriously behind them in the ditch are two wooden pallets partially broken, 2 heavy bases for garden furniture/pedestals, plus lumps of concrete and general DIY waste. I am concerned this is becoming a regular alternative to going to Dimmer recycling. Please clear urgently.

One large television set has been thrown in the ditch as well as large birghtly coloured plastic bags of garden rubbish. This ditch has been recently cleared by the farmer to help prevent flooding.

Flytipping on road from Cary to Dimmer recycling centre, 13th April
1. Just over railway bridge on left there are 2 car wheels (clearly dumped rather than pay to leave at tip). 2. Further down road from railway bridge, on left, there re 2 white plastic bin bags of bottles/cans (probably left there when found recycling was closed). 3. In ditch on left where track to field joins garden rubbish has been dumped and split black bags left in ditch. Various other rubbish there.

A mattress/futon has been dumped. We have pulled it out of the River Cary as it was blocking the channel under a bridge into a field. We have left it on the verge. It is opposite the turning to the Sewage works.

A black bin bag containing packaging materials has been left on grass verge 50 yards to west of Dimmer Farm. Despite previous complaint and reminder to Council it has not been removed.
