Tree Preservation Order Application, 2nd August
All of the trees in the attached photograph and more, out of shot, will be felled to make way for the completion of the Stewart Milne Silver Birches housing development in Alford (Planning application APP/2020/1364 - 31 July 2020) This extensive area of mature mixed woodland (mostly broad-leaf) is visually appealing, but, more importantly, a vital wildlife habitat for birds and mammals, including deer, foxes and bats. We would like to make a Tree Preservation Order application for this woodland area.

The council spread massive amounts of sand on the car park in the winter.
Its now June and still no action has been taken to clear the loose and dangerous grit from the car park.
Why use sand ?
Has consideration being given to the use of pure rock salt following standard European practices instead of a mix of sand and rock- salt this in order to minimise the clean-up costs, the drainage and slip hazards associated with excess grit”
Immediate action is required by the council and send a sweeper to clean up this hazardous risk of loose sand?
