Hazardous loose sand, 22nd February

Mon, 22 Feb 2021 17:59:38 +0000
57.231045 -2.696906

The council have spread massive amounts of sand on the pavement. Has any consideration being given to the use of pure rock salt following standard European practices instead sand. No other European country uses sand as it is inaffective during cold weather and requires to be cleaned in the spring - it block drains and is dangerous when dry - when there is wind the sand can be blown into the eyes of any persons walking on these hazardous pavements Given that these deposits are hazardous ie easy for elderly people to slip when do the council intend to send a sweeper to clean up this hazardous risk of loose sand?
