Abandoned council portable "Road Closed" sign, 31st March
Abandoned portable "Road closed" sign. This was left last summer (2023) at Market Square (near former telephone box) when roadworks were carried out. Now propped up against wall and to stop drivers thinking the lane to Auchenblae Den is closed. First reported to Council many months ago (ref: 782574) and job marked as "completed" on 29th February 2024 even though sign was still there. Report on FixMyStreet mysteriously removed so put back on today (31/3/24).

Man eating pothole, 9th November
Pretty sure there’s more bodies in there than in rubislaw quarry. Well used road by tourists, not a great impression of your stewardship of our Shire. You can fix the damage up by the old rectory and down at the old school house whilst you’re here please!

Dog fouling getting worse as darkness falling earlier., 26th September
The flag on the map is really the central point of the problem. All streets in this area and across the village are seeing an increase in fog fouling as winter approaches. It is simply not acceptable that dog owners or walkers use darkness as an excuse for not picking up after their dog. As in a village location dogs should be on a lead or closely monitored. This has been a long term issue in Auchenblae.

Flooding, 11th September
The flooding has happened, and is becoming more frequent since the bridge at Kintore Street was repaired. It appears that the drains can no longer empty into the burn as bridge is well sealed. Pavement above the bridge is continuing to deteriorate and water can be seen coming up from below the pavement and causing flooding at the bottom of the road. There is an issue on the other side if the road where the drain over has lifted due to water pressure.
