88 potholes - clatterin brig to auchinblae, 3rd May
Dear Sir/Madam, I am a cyclist and have become increasingly alarmed at the long-term state of the entire road marked on the map. In all the routes I cycle - including Auchenblae to Ballater/Glenmuick - 90mile round trip, the 4.6mile section between Clatterin Brig to Auchenblae via Drumtochty Glen is by far the worst. In places, the road is virtually impassable. In other places, it requires cycling into oncoming traffic. In contrast to this, I have not observed a single pothole in Royal Deeside. I also noticed last week that Angus Council have done a beautiful job of repairing the road for the long-term up Glenesk, although I also noticed a stark difference in that road at the boundary between Angus & Aberdeenshire closer to the bottom of the glen. Referring back to the Drumtochty Glen road, I am very concerned that one day, someone is going to get seriously hurt - either by cycling into a hole and coming off their bike, or cycling into an oncoming car whilst trying to avoid a hole. In my opinion, this road requires completely resurfacing in places. If someone would like to get in touch to discuss please, I would be very willing to help with the repairs to this road. Numerous potholes, 6th December
Potholes all the way along this road from Auchenblae to clatterin brig. Many many of them. Will not submit multiple complaints as I don’t have the time but at least 20 holes need attention - next time I get a blowout on this stretch of road I will claim- had 3 on this stretch in the last year. A total of 8 blowouts in a three mile radius of my house!
