Confusing speed limit Gordon mills road, 10th December

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 21:47:14 +0000

Can it be clarified that as you turn onto Gordon's mills road that the speed limit goes from 20mph to 30mph? If this is the case then there are no 30mph road signs as you approach the junction. If Gordon's mills rd is in fact a 20mph, then there will need to be a new road sign as you come into Gordon's mills road as if you were turning left instead of going straight into the bridge. As it stands it's 20mph from Donbank terrace heading towards bridge, but 30mph heading opposite way. Which is correct? Either side of the road will need a speed sign. This was reported months ago with no response from yourselves. This needs clarifying and either way will need new speed limit signs at either junctions depending on which speed limit is correct.

Exit from Whitestripes Road, 5th May

Fri, 05 May 2017 20:34:24 +0100

Whitestripes Road makes a great footpath down to the A90. I use it for cycling down to Balgownie Road. Location of issue can be seen on Google street view from A90 On a recent trip I met an elderly gentleman and I presume his wife / carer negotiating the end of the Whitestripes road onto the A90 pavement using a mobility scooter. I have experience of these machines and was significantly concerned he would topple over. He did not but the path here is not suitable for these simple effective machines. I think it does not need much to improve the track. Please look at making this safe. Not a problem for me cycling but for this elderly man and his wife it certainly was. Thanks.

Inadequate signage, 21st March

Tue, 21 Mar 2017 18:54:27 +0000

There are not enough signs on the whole length of the Parkway to tell cyclists to use the nice new cycle path. This was built at great cost, for their own safety. Still, cyclists are using the road, and are putting lives in danger. I don't think they know it is a cycle path and not a pavement all the way from AECC to the river.
