Badly eroded road surface, 5th February

Wed, 05 Feb 2014 08:16:59 +0000

There is a section of the marked road for several feet that is very badly potholed. A deeper pothole is now forming in the middle of this section and it is encroaching on the carriageway to such an extent that it is not possible to avoid it if there is oncoming traffic. Surrounding roads in the area were repaired several months ago but it appears this section has been overlooked and as I have to drive over it every day my car is suffering badly from continued impact with the damaged road surface.

My wife has just returned home having hit a major pothole on the B997 south of Drumligair House on the south bound carriageway causing a bulge in the front nearside tyre which will have to be replaced tomorrow. I will also have to get the wheel and underside of car checked as my wife said the impact was significant. I have returned an measured the pothole at 5" deep and spans 56" in length and 19" in width. I have also photographed it as best i could in the dark.

Overgrown trees behind 33 mameulah road in school field, 29th April

Thu, 29 Apr 2010 10:54:24 +0100

Again here I go again please can you trim the trees at least six foot. These trees have grown drasticly in the last 5 years so much so that I have little or no natural light to the rear of my house when the trees fill with leaves. Also there is the clean up involved after they shed the leaves which I will charge to the council this year. The usual "we have inspected the trees and dont see a problem" will not wash. I hereby give you 30 days to remedy the issue or I will be taking legal action against the council. Many Thanks Michael Loszak 33 mameulah road newmachar PS Please can the person who replies to this email give a full name as last time I was simply treated to Bob from the council!!!

Tree causing a problem, 12th May

Tue, 12 May 2009 20:09:06 +0100

When in full bloom during the whole of the summer the 3 trees in the school field next to our fence at mumber 35 mameulah rd also at number 33 block out all the sun light from our gardens the whole afternoon. all the grass is mossey & next door at 33 its practically in dark shade the whole day. i have informed the council before & a few branches were removed that hung right over the fences but this does not solve the sun light issue. The trees s will only get bigger as they have doubled in size since we have been here in nearly 7 years.can these trees be moved or removed?

Dangerously deep mud on footpath, 7th February

Thu, 07 Feb 2008 15:24:43 +0000

Footpath past Kingseat development is inches deep in mud in some parts, especially towards Newmachar end. This is very slippery and could cause someone to fall into path of traffic. Also the footpath put in by developers to link to Pinkie lane is becoming impassable due to thistles and nettles and Pinkie Lane itself is a mudbath where construction traffic has been ploughing up and down.
