2or 3large potholes, 6th June

Wed, 06 Jun 2018 20:19:14 +0100

I have reported these potholes to the council a few weeks ago. Today I received notification that they had been sorted. They are repairing potholes nearby but they havenít even looked at these. There are two worse one on the same road near Cranhill. These potholes are really deep and much worse thatís the ones which they are currently fixing. I tried to report the potholes again but the website is down.

Thu, 05 Apr 2018 16:45:37 +0100

New sports ground floodlights have been installed but they are so bright at night driving east it is like meeting 4 HGVS with their lights on high beam and when wet it is even worse ....ok the floodlight the sports ground but not the next 500m of a local road, the road is narrow and full of potholes and these bright lights just make every thing 10 times worse

10 inch pothole on gravelly verge just at passing spot, 8th July

Sat, 08 Jul 2017 22:43:13 +0100

There are a collection of potholes that reappear in this location. After many months the council came and fixed 3 or 4 of them, but there is still one large one left.

Overhanging bushes and trees, 24th November

Thu, 24 Nov 2016 15:55:11 +0000

Beech trees and gorse overhanging the road creating very poor visibility round corners, difficulty to run onto verge if you meet something, and a hazard for cyclists. Shouldn't be anything growing between the road and the wall, other than neatly trimmed grass.

Several potholes in line with left tyre., 21st March

Mon, 21 Mar 2016 14:19:56 +0000

On the Charleston flyover (as you enter from A90 northbound) there are two potholes and several areas of dipped road surface that cause impact if not avoided. To avoid them, cars often stay close to the right which puts them close to oncoming traffic.

Pot holes, 8th February

Sat, 08 Feb 2014 16:03:15 +0000

There are many potholes along this road adjacent to the Devenick Dairy. In some places there are pot holes on both sides of the road and so not possible to avoid. I estimate depth of some of the potholes as 3 to 5 inches.

Damaged traffic Island - Bollards & Lighting Column, 20th March

Wed, 20 Mar 2013 15:10:48 +0000

Following an RTA, the bollards & lighting column were wiped out - months ago, no-one would accept responsibility to repair. SMHs advise this section of road is now adopted by Aberdeenshire Council, so can someone please fix before there is another accident - lights out/missing entirely. Island is barely visible, like the rest, due to the level of muck on this road.

Water still flowing across main carriageway, 21st January

Mon, 21 Jan 2013 12:48:38 +0000

Reported previously & acknowledged for action. But still the issue exists. Quite frankly appalling that no apparent effort has been made to fix what is a very real safety hazard at this time of year. Appreciate it is Bear Scotland, but please pass on.

Big Pothole on A90, 21st January

Water flowing across main carraigeway - on bend, 18th December

Tue, 18 Dec 2012 12:09:57 +0000

Over the last few weeks the level of water lying/flowing across this busy carraigeway has increased. There is clearly either an issue with a burst drain or water pipe. If this freezes, it could contribute to a serious RTA. This needs attention urgently. It is on the West side of the road as it bends round to go over the flyover towards Loch Of Loiriston.

More muck on road from New Housing Development, 24th July

Tue, 24 Jul 2012 12:48:06 +0100

Note - Location only approx as maps out of date. Once again considerable muck has been deposited (during earth moving operations with overloaded trucks?) & then left on the road surface at the exit from the Charles Church/Betts end. We were given assurances that this wouldn't happen again & it has. It's just a repeat of the carry on with SMHs & also the Veitchi site - which is still a disgrace, but just left for an accident to happen. Requests for a further update from the council on what was done at the Veitchi site have just been ignored !

Dog foul, 19th October

Wed, 19 Oct 2011 13:30:37 +0100

A foot path between Cookston Road and Craigleith Avenue is used by walkers and dog walkers alike. Some irresponsible people are allowing their dogs to foul the footpath whilst others are chucking dog foul bags over the small wall towards the burn. These bags are visible and unsightly and also the dog foul on the path is a danger to children. So far I have tried to clean the path but would much prefer for the offenders to abide by the law. Perhaps a sign nearby, could remind them of the dog foul act of 2003 short of cctv.I have to live in sight of this daily blight.

Several area's of road surface flooded (AGAIN !), 17th October

Mon, 17 Oct 2011 16:44:45 +0100

Once again several stretches of the NEW link road at Hillside, Portlethen are under water. Cars are swerving to avoid what are considerable amounts of standing water. It is a disgrace that a new road floods like this - either very poor design or lack of maintenance or both. Gulleys always appear blocked. This an accident waiting to happen. Also reported to Grampian Police.

New wall blocking visibility at busy/fast junction, 19th August

Fri, 19 Aug 2011 20:58:53 +0100

Not sure if this is a planning or road safety issue or both. The householder at this property has recently built a new wall (or extended an existing wall) creating a real bad hazard at what is already a poor/dangerous junction. Words cannot do justice as to how dangerous it is, so please send someone to have a look & see for themselves. We can only presume it has been done without planning permission. It is an accident waiting to happen.
