Collapsing and blocked road drain., 16th March
At the side of the road a large road rainwater drain has sunk notably, around 100mm below surrounding edge, the drain is also blocked. The supporting road structure (tarmac) is breaking away leaving big gaps around the perimeter, when water fills the blocked drain these are not visible causing a serious risk of detailing a cyclist. With the repeated heavy traffic going over the grate the tarmac is rapidly breaking away, there is a high probability of serious collapse of the drain and/or cyclist being derailed and falling into the path of another vehicle. The drain is on the LHS from exiting Risewood heading towards the A166.

Skid risk, 5th October
When turning left travelling south, the surface of the road at this junction is dangerous, particularly when damp. I cycle, and I have fallen twice at low speed, I have also encountered a motorcyclist who had fallen at the same spot. It appears that the crown of the road junction is polished, and maybe an adverse camber. Thanks

Overgrown verge and trees, 16th October
This corner has unfortunately been subject to lots of accidents including fatalities. As a daily user of this road for 30 years the amount of near misses is frightening. There is a blind corner forcing people onto the wrong side of the road over a narrow bridge. The signage for the narrow bridge is now unseen due to growth. When approaching the corner heading from Warthill to Gate Helmsley the whole verge needs clearing on the left hand side on the left hand corner. This needs carrying out urgently to create visibility around the corner and too the narrow bridge section. I would also suggest priority signs. Once this work is carried out it will significantly decrease the risk of further fatal accidents occurring. Put simply it will save lives.

Potholes and edge deterioration, 20th March
Large, and extending potholes narrowing the road to single carriageway. It's very difficult to resolve the edge of the road along the whole stretch. Some cars are slamming their brakes on to avoid puddles without looking in their mirrors first - and the mud/road debris on the road extends stopping distances - so quite a dangerous stretch at the moment.
