It's an already filled hole that has eroded with the zero temps we had a couple of weeks ago. It's now about a foot long and quite deep.

This section of New Road has been getting worse for years. It has not been attended to in the 18+ years I have lived in the village. Interestingly, similar problems in and around Rufforth have been fixed!

Stop sign loose, junction of New Road & Main Street Hessay, 21st March
The stop sign bolts which secure the sign are loose, the sign is blown into a position by the wind and becomes no longer visible, I gave turned it around though the bolts need tightening to prevent further occurrences.

The pavement is obstructed by Mud, animal detritus & effluent, it has been like this for a long time and is worsening. At a time when more residents are taking exercise at home some are unable to access the pavement, the most adversely affected are those with mobility issues. Some residents are having to walk in the road at close proximity to cars and agricultural vehicles, the drivers of which appear oblivious to the risk of injury.

Street light fault., 12th March
