Parking on double yellow lines directly outside school gates preventing children crossing safely., 9th December
For years I've taken my children to Linton on ouse school, and for years this has been a problem. Countless news letters addressed to families and parents have attempted to address the issue but appears to have fallen on deaf ears. Parking on double yellows is the issue, but not only that it's the parking on double yellows on a tight bend directly outside the school gates. This is not only illegal but incredibly dangerous for children trying to cross safely to and from school.

Heavy vehicles cause house shaking, 6th June
Two points: 1) Traffic thunders past at 50/40 mph into the village from Aldwark end. Could there be traffic calming measures brought in like the other end of the village currently has. It is currently dangerous for children and animals. 2)Heavy vehicles, such as tractors/lorries cause house to shake as they drive past.

Potholes, 22nd January
The section of road from the marked point to the junction near Aldwark Bridge, approx 1 mile to the north west has an excessive number of potholes on it along the verge. The road is only just wide enough for 2 cars, hence vehicles either end up hitting severe potholes or frequently they avoid the potholes and come extremely close to one another. I have seen the wing mirror debris from such incidents on a number of occasions. Repairs have been carried out, but they have had no lasting effect. These potholes also have significant safety implications to 2 wheeled vehicles; this route forms part of the National Cycle Network.
