4 Way system on the A59, 17th May
Who thought this was a good idea? There is no need to have a 4 way system here. 2 way system for the A59. Close Green Hammerton, York Road, junction, and divert to B6265 junction, where they can filter naturally, put a BIG keep junction clear sign on the A59, for the queuing traffic. Close Hammertonlane Kirk, and divert to station road both East and West. again Keep Junction Clear signs. The 4 way system for a couple of cars from the hamlets is frickin ridiculous.

Dangerous potholes - in adequate repairs, 26th May
This section of road has the same problem multiple times per year. Each time a selection but not all holes are partially filled. Rain, change of temperature, traffic cause the problem to arise again within 3-6 months. It’s frustrating to be reporting the same issue year after year.
The cause of the problem has been long term field run off which emerges near the junction to the Boroughbridge Road. Then the post repairs, making for a patchwork road. This part of the road need relaying including the foundation, not simply filling the holes and redressing. The photos show when flooded the holes and locations are not visible. Even when local it’s not possible to avoid new and enlarged holes when they can not be seen.
When passing and large vehicles push past that don’t slow not wait for on coming vehicles they blast grit and stones.

Large pothole as you turn from Station Road into Gilswaith Lane., 13th February
This pothole is getting bigger every day, not helped as the road is used daily by HGVs for delivery to a nearby business. It is almost unavoidable because of its position on the junction as you turn in.

Road beyond repair, 3rd February
The road is completely beyond repair. It is the ONLY access to houses on st johns grove and no one knows who the road belongs to. It is the access to the primary school and we have witnessed many near misses with children falling over in the dangerous pot holes. The road it provides access to, St John's Grove is made up of over 4 council properties all who have extreme difficulty using the road. The road needs to be investigated and repaired it is unsafe and poses a massive Health and safety issue. Recently an ambulance struggled to get down the road. It is not safe and has gone on for far too long. Adjoining properties deny responsibility. It must be investigated and the rightful owner held to account to repair.

4 meter pot holes on road. Very dangerous. Very unsafe. Parish refuse to fix. We have disabled and elderly residents and this is next to a school. Absolutely disgusting!, 16th July
The pothole has been here for over a year. It is very dangerous. The road is very unsafe. I have had my tyres replaced twice in the last few months due to this. Next door have a severely disabled son and they can't take him further than the end of our street because of the state of the road. We have elderly residents in the street who are also unable to walk safely. The school won't pay. The parish refuse to pay (not sure what parish tax is even for?!) And north yorkshire coubty council have closed down the request on numerous occasions as they state it's not their road responsibility. Who is going to fix this?! It's very dangerous and very unsafe. Over the weekend my partners half sister (she is 10) fell in the pot hole and ended up with a gash on her leg requiring first aid and cleaning. How this is safe next to a school is beyond me!
