Stanwell Moor offers a plethora of outdoor activities for its residents due to its proximity to the River Thames as well as the London Loop, a green walkway for cyclists and walkers. There are a few local shops, a library and a leisure centre located in the village. Further attractions include historic Poyle House, Stanwell Town Cricket Club and the Baitul Futuh Mosque.

Stanwell itself is a large residential area spread across two villages, Stanwell and Stanwell Village. It is known for its vibrant waterfront, with its numerous canal-side pubs and eateries providing a popular spot for visitors. The area is also home to the Staines and Stanwell Moor Golf Course. The Village Hall is a focal point in the community, often hosting community events like craft fairs and performances.

Twickenham is the second largest town in the borough of Richmond upon Thames, and is mainly known as the ‘home of English rugby' due to Twickenham Stadium being located there. However, Twickenham also offers plenty of historic sights and open spaces. Twickenham Green is a popular park known not only for its large amount of trees, but also for the Burial Ground of Old Twickenham. Twickenham offers a broad range of shops, from boutique stores to major high street retailers. There is a range of local pubs, cafes and restaurants, plus art galleries and annual music and sports festivals. Rich history is reflected in its Tudor and Georgian buildings, as well as in its many green spaces.

TheTW20 postcode area offers its residents a wealth of activities and attractions, from its green spaces to its historical sights and vibrant leisure and nightlife scenes.
