The other main urban areas in the TA24 postcode district are Bishops Lydeard and Williton, located west of Watchet. Bishops Lydeard has a population of 1,768 people and a size of 11.38 km2, whilst Williton is somewhat smaller, with a population of 1,442 people and a size of 8.1 km2.

The surrounding rural areas offer a mixture of agricultural land, woodland and moorland. Farming is an important industry in this area, with numerous small farms spread throughout the TA24 postcode district.

The villages of Over Stowey, West Quantoxhead and Roadwater offer an attractive mix of country pubs, local shops, antique stores, tearooms, cafes and galleries. They also provide ample opportunity for walking, cycling and horse riding in the beautiful countryside scenery.

The TA24 postcode district is located within easy reach of England's motorway network, making it ideal for commuters to access nearby towns such as Taunton, Bristol and Exeter. The region is served by several good road links including the A358, A38, B3224 and B3227.
