Street sweeping, 19th April
Joy! A street sweeping machine spotted on Firth Park Road 8.30 this morning. Dismay!! The machine couldn't clean effectively because the brown bins are out awaiting collection. I moved out of the way so that the area around the bus stop could be swept, but the driver went into the road and away. What are we paying for? A team needs to be sent out to ensure areas where the bins are, and parked cars are cleaned. Even where the machine went, there were still leaves and sticks left behind. The area where the fag ends were, were not not even touched.

Van parked dangerously, 17th April
There’s a large van which is constantly parked right at the end of wincobank avenue on this junction on windmill lane that blocks the view completely when making a left turn off windmill lane on to wincobank avenue. It’s very dangerous and has been there for a long time. No doubt this has caused an incident already but if not it soon will.

Soil & Leaf Matter / Condition of verges, 16th April
Hi, just letting you know I spent some time today cleaning the road near where I live. There has been a lot of mashed leaf matter and mud from the verges that has been encroaching onto the road for some time now making the area look a little un-kept shall we say. Hopefully it will now be easier for your road sweepers to maintain going forward, in this section of Everingham Road at least. Sadly the whole area is also in need of some attention, but I suppose you can only maintain as current budgets allow. I also uncovered what I believe to be a fire hydrant that was hidden by the soil & leaf mess at the top of the road. So that's good! I would like to ask if there is anything that the council can do to help keep up appearances in the area in the future, including hopefully some ideas on maintenance of the verges, as they are still in a poor state coming out of winter and having been driven/parked on by people frequenting the area in recent years. I would very much appreciate any help that can be rendered here, and am happy to assist if I can, as I think my efforts today have proven. Some pride in ones neighbourhood should be encouraged I think, I hope you agree. I just have about a dozen black bin bags full of muck to take to tip now, but there we go, amazing how much there was in only one short section of the road. Please see before and after photographs.
P.s. Can you tell me if the grass cutters will be out and about in the area soon? As the grass is now in need of cutting also, preferably before the dandelions go to seed. This will make a big difference too I think. I sometimes do our little section of verge, but its too long for our mower at the moment.

Residents can’t walk on pavement and have difficulty parking, 16th April
Southey green close is becoming like a scrap yard for old cars belonging to Southey green garage . Most of them are not taxed and there’s no room for people that have paid road tax to park.My husband and my self are elderly we cannot walk on the pavement because there’s cars parked on it. This has been reported before but nothing seems to get done
