Phasing of the lights, 21st March
Just before Christmas the phasing of the lights at this junction was changed. Every morning it takes me at least 4/5 light changes to get from St Michael’s Road along to these lights. This is causing big queues back to Mayfair. Quite often there are no cars coming up Church End Lane and we are just sat there. I have travelled this way to work for 12 years and it was never like this before. This is a main route into town in the morning but just this piece of road can take me 5 mins to get through. Please can you look into this so that the traffic can run freely in the mornings Thanks

Incident of Tin being thrown at schoolbus driver, 24th January
One of our school teachers was involved in a traffic incident today when she was driving back today on the M4 from Reading - Netball matches with Crossfields with the U11 girls
An approximately aged 20-late 30s white male with dark short hair and wearing a dark puffa' type jacket climbed the banister of an overhead bridge over the M4 Westbound carriageway ( estimated to be at a crossing approximately in line with Moore Copse Nature Reserve as they were driving Westbound on the M4 towards the A34 and Newbury exit) and he purposely threw a dark object ( she presumes a can or tin) towards the minibus she was driving in. It hit the roof of the CHK minibus ( Sean has checked for damages) sending a shock of noise through her and the children onboard.
Helen is understandably upset, shocked and anxious and has given us a statement following the incident approximately at 17.10
We believe the incident happened roughly around at 16.10 as they had just left netball match in Reading

Substantial pothole adjacent to “The Nook”, Routh Lane, 20th January
This pothole has been worsening over several months, and is now substantial. As well as being a hazard for drivers, it’s also a significant danger to pedestrians - there is no pavement on Routh Lane and it’s one of the principal walking routes to access St Michael’s church (including for many elderly people). As the Rector of the church I am very concerned that someone will trip and be injured.
