Bloomfield is Reading's most established and affluent neighbourhood. It has several parks and greenspaces, along with outdoor play areas and a children's zoo. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy, with some offering alfresco dining. Also, a few prestigious schools are located in this area, which have produced many highly successful students throughout the years.

Eastwood is situated in the south-east of Reading and is a thriving urban area. It has a mix of terraced and semi-detached houses, and also several new build housing developments have been constructed in recent years. There are many local shops and amenities within the area, as well as several primary schools.

The area of Southcote situated within the RG30 postcode is mainly residential but has a selection of local shops, cafes and parks. Coley Park is a well-established neighbourhood that offers plenty of amenities, such as a selection of independent stores, pubs, churches and parks. It is also close to the Reading West railway station which offers regular services to London Paddington and Reading Town Centre.
