It is bordered by the PR1 postcode district to the south, the FY postcode district to the west, and the BB2 and PR3 postcodes to the east.

Components of this development also include a Children's Centre, landscaped gardens, and areas of public space such as pathways and play areas.
The PR2 postcode is served by four railway stations: Preston, Kirkham & Wesham, Salwick, and Longridge. Additionally, it is also served by several regular bus services, the M6 motorway which passes just to the east of the district, and other local roads such as the Preston Theatre Bypass, the Broughton Bypass, the M55 Preston Bypass, and the A6 Penwortham Bypass.
