Burst water pipe., 14th January
On the corner of Ruston Road and The Row by the barn there is a burst pipe and water is pumping out.

Drains blocked, 14th January
There is a drain outside 6 Hilgay Road and one a couple of houses further up. Every time it rains these over flow. I have reported it on numerous occasions and so has the Parish Clerk. All that happens I’d they come out and empty the drain. The next time it rains it overflows. It is connected I believe to the problem with the drain at the corner by The Old Forge which has overflowed and I have just reported to you.

The corner is flooding, 14th January
Every time it rains this corner completely floods and makes the road inaccessible. I believe the drain is blocked as a little further in Hilgay Road there are two drains which are forever overflowing.

Blocked drain, 4th December
The drain opposite 6 Hilgay Road is blocked and overflows every time it rains. It has done this for a long t8ne now. I reported it about 18 months to 2 years ago and it was resolved very quickly but it was not very long before it blocked again.

Multiple potholes one after the other, 10th June
Sequence of potholes on the bridge, damaging to cars and have to drive into the middle of the road to avoid. Been here months.

Pothole. VERY dangerous. Made worse by recent snow and ice. Concerned for safety of motorcyclists or cyclists. Clearly will cause injury to people and/or damage to motor vehicles. Trip hazard as no pavements. Needs urgent repair.

Water leak outside two properties and drain full, 27th September
We have a puddle outside our property which does not appear to go away. A leak also has appeared at a neighbours property which is running across the road. The drain further along in road appears to be full. Please could these be investigated.

West Dereham FP 2 Grid ref: TF 6616 0205. There are no limitations recorded. The gate has no legitimate function, in terms of preventing the ingress or egress of animals on agricultural land (the only agricultural land is arable), and is therefore incapable of authorisation under Highways Act 1980 Section 147. The gate was reported to the county council on 20th May 2016, but has been allowed to stay. The gate needs to be completely removed. As well as a physical impediment, the gate also presents a psychological barrier, in spite of the waymark tack sign, making the way ahead look less like a public path, and more "private" instead.

West Dereham FP 21, grid ref: TF 6621 0197. The public path has a legally recorded width of approximately 2 metres, and no limitations recorded. The gate has no legitimate function, in terms of preventing the ingress or egress of animals on agricultural land, and is therefore incapable of authorisation under Highways Act 1980 Section 147. The gate was reported to the county council on 20th May 2016, but has been allowed to stay. The gate needs to be completely removed. The gate, as well as posing an unnecessary physical obstruction, also presents a psychological barrier, making the land ahead appear "private". There is no signage here, and the correct whereabouts of the path unclear. The county council is under a duty (Countryside Act 1968 Section 27(4)) to erect signage where needed to assist persons unfamiliar with the locality to follow the route of the path. There is an acute need for such signage here.
