FIXMYSTREET IN NG20 0JQ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NG20 0JQ:
View obstructed when exiting driveway due to parked vehicles, 21st March
Neighbour with no driveway has approx 5/6 vehicles on a regular basis staying at the address. 4/5 nights a week at least and through the day.
This parking when combined with the driveway joining the road on a inner apex of a corner, makes it extremely hard to join the road safely as you cannot see traffic already traveling on the road and that same traffic cannot see you leaving the drive.
Number of near misses already occurring and concerned due to young families on the street as these same cars also prevent them being seen when playing.

This white car is parking so that it obstructs the pavement. They live at number 38. It is also parked in the same place even when another car is already parked on the other side of the road, making it difficult for large vehicles to get through and may obstruct completely fire engines getting through. Vans parked across drop kerb, 12th December
No. 11 is having building work done, the 4 vehicles that arrive daily have no consideration for anyone else, they are parking over the drop kerb opposite my driveway and on the the other side of the road which does have parking restrictions on from 8am to 6pm and it is making it impossible for me to reverse onto my drive, im disabled and I need to park as close to my house as possible, this has been happening for 6 weeks so far, I have asked them politely to move and was told 'it's not difficult to park , love ' and to ask them if I want to park on my driveway, im disabled not stupid, and I shouldn't have to tell anyone why I need to park on my driveway,

Walking home today,as I got to just before the junction at oak field lane I noticed there was a van parked on the causeway,I know they are doing the new houses across the road and its hard to pass on that side as it is.I had to wait for traffic on both sides before I had to go into the road to pass, this is not good enough anyone with a buggy scooter wheelchair all would have had to do the same .they could at least have consideration for the public on the field side especially as they are all parked on the other side doing the new houses !, 11th May
