Wisteria Place development Burton Joyce, 7th January
Good morning and Happy New Year to you all.
My fears and worries - that I spoke to the Site Foreman before the Xmas break about, have come true! The fact the trees were removed I believed, was due to him (construction company) 100% behind their removal, at least strpping them back to the stumps they are now is my humble opinion. He gave me his word that no one would be parking on the spot were the trees were removed from - his word was worthless as you can see from the pictures taken this morning at 10am. It has started.
He was polite and apologetic for all the parking outside our homes all day every day, limiting the access of Family and Friends, he said he would inform all the site workers that this is residential and would work hard to ensure they don't park here all day - however, they still park here all day.
My questions : Why were the trees Pollarded to the degree they were and we have to just suck it up? Why didn't they plant 2 new trees per person who lives here on the Ridings immediately? Have you (Parish Council) any plans to plant trees as per the minutes in past Parish Council meetings I have read online? Do we have any communications from the developer as to the parking of its residents in front of our homes after the project is complete, as why would you pay 7k a year for a parking spot when it's free over the road? Many thanks for your support.
