There are dangerous potholes on a narrow blind corner, 21st March
The attached photos only show the worst potholes on the corner of Middle Claydon village but the potholes extend either side of Middle Claydon Village towards Claydon House and Sandhill. These potholes are particularly dangerous as vehicles swerve to avoid them and oncoming vehicles cannot be seen around the tight corner. The danger is compounded because the road is only wide enough for one car to pass at a time. Large HS2 and East West Rail lorries and trucks, as well as tourists visiting National Trust Claydon House in Middle Claydon frequently use this road; they are unaware of the failed road surface and unwittingly take the turning too fast to be safe. Walkers and cyclists are in particular danger as are the young children who attend the autism early support school in Middle Claydon village. The potholes in Middle Claydon village have been an ongoing issue for many months - whenever work is carried out there are always potholes left unattended and the ones filled in fall into disrepair quickly because the job is not completed to the level necessary. It is so bad now that, in my opinion, this entire section of road needs to be re-surfaced.

At the top of the hill near middle claydon, 20th March
Previous report said many potholes both sides of the road - those at bottom of the hill fixed but those at the top ignored despite being only a few meters away - Dangerous because all over the roads and on a blind corner

Ruined road surface across both directions of travel, 19th March
Absolutely ruined road surface, way beyond potholes - actively dangerous as you have to drive over it incredibly slowly in the middle of the road, and it's just around a corner - accident absolutely waiting to happen; horribly dangerous, and will ruin cars

DANGEROUS failure in road substructure, 14th March
Large patch of failed sub structure of the road surface. Top dressing has disintegrated. This will result in an accident and damage to vehicles and must be repaired immediately.
The council are in breach of their Section 58 obligations of the highways act 1980. If this is not fixed within 7 days I shall be taking legal action.

There are so many potholes on this section of road from the corner down the hill - Some have been repeatedly filled obviously not properly - why are these holes never sealed - surely it has to be cheaper in the long run to do the job properly

Blocked Drain, 12th March
On the edge of St Mary's Close is a drain which we have been told is blocked and causing the drain further up on the road to overflow. This is NOT a trickle but more of a stream of water pouring down the road and soaking pedestrians and property as cars go through. It also freezes when the temp drops. This has been going on for a number of years. Please DO something about it. We believe that Alison Poland - Area Technician is being informed.

Lots of potholes that are growing in size, 6th March
I continually report the problems with this section of road, but my reports are closed down due to the potholes not being large enough to cause damage to a vehicle. A vehicle was recovered yesterday following hitting one of these potholes. Can some repairs even if only temporary please now be made?
