The drain on the corner of Stratford Road, opposite the Village Hall MK17 0ES, was cleared after the flooding on 23.12.20. Furthermore, Nash Parish Council is requesting the entire drainage network on the Stratford Road is cleared and cleaned to help prevent future flooding. A similar operation was successfully carried on the High Street in Nash during the summer of 2020.The flooding which occurs regularly on the Stratford Road bend is dangerous

High Street, close to pump on hill, 24th December

Thu, 24 Dec 2020 09:26:33 +0000
52.001675 -0.863631

The first 2 picture are where road surface is broken and, when walking on it, sinks with water rising. The road is also sinking at several points down the hill, photo 3 is typical. Blocks from the breakup are appearing as debris. This road is not a normal residential road as it take considerable traffic from a farm including an articulated milk lorry. It was brought to my attention yesterday by a local delivery man.

51.971609 -0.852552

With the heavy rain this morning, the drain is still blocked alongside The Old Farm. It is now worse, because rather than water coming up through the drain in the road, this route is now partly blocked and the water is coming up through the earth from under my hedge - as shown in the photo above. The water does not come from my garden.

Flooded footpath, 6th November

Fri, 06 Nov 2020 14:20:46 +0000
52.002006 -0.866004

There is poor drainage on the footpath that leads to the east of the point indicated on the map. Water runs off the adjacent fields and accumulates to form a long wet and muddy puddle. People try walking along the side of the path, and this then gets mushed up too. The path is important. It is used a lot by dog walkers and people need to get to the east and west of the village.
