The Bellingham and Downham regeneration scheme is actively improving the area and its surroundings.
The area boasts several parks including Manor House Gardens, Hilly Fields, Mountsfield Park, and Forster Memorial Park. Furthermore, the area skirts round Ladywell Fields, a large recreational ground with a lake, wildflower meadow, and children's play area.
Transport in the area is plentiful and includes various bus routes, as well as Lewisham and Catford railway stations providing regular service into Charing Cross, London Bridge, and Cannon Street via the South Eastern Main Line.
The area also has quick access to the North and South Circulars and direct routes to Crystal Palace and Bromley make it a great spot to live or visit.
Education in the area is excellent with the Aldersbrook Primary School being rated outstanding in its latest Ofsted report. Lee Manor and Horniman Primary Schools have also been rated as good and there are a wide variety of schools in the area based on religion, culture, and alternative learning styles.
SE6 is a vibrant, diverse, and thriving area in South East London with lots to do both for its residents and visitors alike.
