Large hazardous lump in cycle lane post roadworks, 24th May

Fri, 24 May 2019 13:37:21 +0100
51.521013 -0.050055

There is now a large lump in the cycle path following some badly ‘repaired’ roadworks. It is hard to see as you come up to it and if you were to hit it going more than 10mph it would easily be substantial enough to throw a cyclist off their bicycle and into the road. Even at under 3mph, it’s enough to severely jostle a baby in a baby seat or throw off a cyclist’s ability to steer.

'Turn slightly left' cycle route sign is located at the wrong junction, 20th May

Mon, 20 May 2019 04:10:05 +0100
51.526217 -0.064802

Issue is regarding the sign for the northbound LCN cycle route to Hackney that is located on Vallance Rd (just to the north of its junction with Voss St). The sign confusingly directs northbound cyclists to do an impossible 'turn slightly left' from Vallance Rd at its junction with Bethnal Green Rd. The cycle route actually continues 'straight on' at that junction into the south end of Squirries St. Although this sign has been there for several years, it clearly was intended for the north end of Squirries St., where the cycle route does require a 'turn slightly left' to proceed into Durant St.

Poorly designed speed humps, 11th May

Sat, 11 May 2019 01:30:07 +0100
51.522839 -0.052452

The speed bumps on Cephas street need to be addressed immediately. They cause cars to whack violently onto the road surface when going over them. When approaches the speed bumps the road ditches and the nose of the car always end up hitting the hump. Unpleasant experience as drivers are having damage caused to their cars.

Idling vehicles on Haverfield Road car park, 27th April

Sat, 27 Apr 2019 06:42:07 +0100
51.528849 -0.03943

Vehicles sit with engines running in the car park or on Haverfield Road. Many of these are council vehicles or contractors servicing the flats in Meath gardens beyond. I would like a clear no idling sign on Haverfield Road, with fine warnings and traffic wardens with the power to hand them out on the spot. I have young children and regular chest infections due to pollution.

Camera pointing south with no signage, 26th April

Fri, 26 Apr 2019 14:05:18 +0100
51.533662 -0.0223

There is a camera pointing south towards the bow roundabout with no indication as to what it is for. It is on the old ford exit bridge just above the advertising board and has been there for at least a week. What is this for as it could be a security risk. If this is a survey camera, police camera, traffic camera it should be advertised as such and not be placed so inconspicuously.

Excessive commercial vehicle parking, 18th April

Thu, 18 Apr 2019 08:54:47 +0100
51.539212 -0.064412

There are 6-8 vans parked on the road at anyone time mostly with visitor permits. However they clearly haven’t been moved in ages, they are largely dismantled and even have cabs full of parts. There’s a breakdown truck packed over double yellow lines which indicates a mechanic is working here. This area is extremely tight for parking with the flats in the area causing dense population and a greater need for parking. It states in Hackney’s parking rules only one vehicle is permitted to park per person in a household. I’d imagine there’s a particular household in the area going through a high number of visitor permits, so they’re most likely the culprit. These need to be cleared immediately.

Car club cars in poor position, 17th April

Wed, 17 Apr 2019 20:15:43 +0100
51.539442 -0.064483

There’s two car club vehicles based here, at the most densely populated end of the road with all the flats and park close by, making parking in the evening difficult to near impossible. The other end of Albion drive is mainly empty as it’s large houses with less vehicles to park. Therefore I request the car club vehicles be relocated to the other end of the steer which has more space to accommodate them.
