There is also an art gallery, the Whitechapel Ideas Store library, and The People's Supermarket. Chinbrook Meadows Nature Reserve is also a popular spot for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, while Mile End Park is a great recreational centre for young people with a range of activities recreationally, educationally, and culturally.

The area also hosts a number of local events and festivals, including the East End Film Festival, the Bow Arts Festival, the Brick Lane Music Festival, and the Mile End Food Fair. There are also a number of interesting local buildings, including Bow Church, St Stephen's Church, and the Stratford Circus Arts Centre.
