Several lamp posts not working along A70 in Coylton, 6th February
I think the issue stems from the fact that some lamp posts along this stretch of the A70 have been replaced but the work doesn't appear to have been completed. Last summer, traffic calming measures were installed which moved the pavement along the south side of the road into the adjacent farmers field. At the same time, lamp posts along the north side of the road were replaced, but some have no 'head' as such, and therefore don't emit any light, and the neighbouring legacy post is switched off.
This is not handy for my morning runs along this stretch of pavement, which are currently happening in darkness.

Bad parking, 8th January
The cars are parked on the pavement, or half on the pavement and have on the road making the street difficult to drive through safely. Outside 19/21 there is a trailer parked taking up 3 car spaces as it has been left in the street not attached to a car. This has been a long standing issue with the parking spaces being inadequate for the volume of cars. There would be difficulty getting emergency vehicles into this street.

Overgrowth on footpath, 24th November
On the newly created footpath, running parallel to the main road, large sections of the footpath are narrowed and are a slip hazard due to overgrowth of grass and moss on to them from the vegetation at the sides. I’m frosty mornings the layer of overgrowth is slippery and a hazard.

No grip, 25th July
The road surface on these bends is worn smooth. Every time it rains especially after a dry spell a car is going into the scenery. South Ayrshire’s response has been to put up a skidding car sign in the Spring - in one direction only - and this has now disappeared. They are in effect admitting that the surface presents a hazard, without taking corrective action. Time to upgrade this busy stretch of road.

This pothole which is at the speed bump needs addressed. Rather large and when covering over the speed bump makes it hard to avoid especially as cars as usually parked on either side

Truck parking opposite junction, 5th April
The truck is constantly parking across from the junction into Ashgrove. This causes vehicles turning into Ashgrove to cut the corner on the wrong side of the road. There have been requests to the truck owner to as for the truck to be parked elsewhere but they obviously have no intention to move it as their driver continues to park it there. It is also possibly too close to the junction into the street, Parkands, further along The Beeches. It is possibly going to cause an accident and i believe it’s possibly illegally parked.
