Large Van parked on a blind curve, 16th September

Sun, 16 Sep 2018 22:07:53 +0100

If you're coming into the village the vehicle is not in the way, but if you're exiting the village going towards Worlington, you come around a bend with tall bushes on the left and the van is parked right there over the bridge. The road is 60 both ways so if you're coming out of the village going around the bend, you have to slam on your brakes if another car happens to be coming the other way at the same time. I've even had it happen where another car coming the opposite direction didn't want to stop for me to pass even though I had right of way which meant I had to slam on my brakes anyway. This van had been parked there over a week and I'd like it to move before someone can't brake fast enough, especially at night.

Tue, 03 Apr 2018 14:08:57 +0100
52.320911 0.44339

This pothole is extremely dangerous and as I was driving home last night (2/4/18) at 2100 hrs, I hit it because I couldnít swerve round it due to on coming traffic. Now my front passenger side wheel is buckled and my tyre is knackered!! I would like to claim the money Iím gonna have to spend on getting it fixed because I pay my road tax for a reason and now Iím gonna have to front the money because the roads havenít been kept up to the proper standard!

7 inch deep and 15 inch wide pothole, 14th January

Sun, 14 Jan 2018 12:10:28 +0000
52.333351 0.447776

I hit this Pothole on Monday the 8th of January in my Mercedes C class, my Tyre instantly split and needed a same day replacement, the cost of this was £220 + VAT (Invoice to follow) On the evening of Friday the 12th of January my daughter has hit the same pothole, on both occasions it was dark and the pothole was not visible. The Fiat 500 will have a new tyre replaced tomorrow morning. I have drove down the road this morning to take a photo of the pothole but found the road is closed and workmen working on the road, i can only assume the potholes are being repaired? Why should we have to pay to replace perfectly good tyres because of potholes that should not be there? Please advise how i claim for these. Andy King

Remains of tree sticking out into road., 11th August

Tue, 11 Aug 2015 12:29:06 +0100
52.33014 0.470562

On 5/7/2015 whilst driving along this road my passenger side wing mirror struck a tree which was sticking out from the hedge subsequently breaking it and the incident caused my vehicle to jolt. On going back to the site I found considerable debris from many previous incidents of the same nature. PLEASE GET THIS TREE REMOVED. This is obviously a danger point and I have alerted the local police of my worries.

Street lights out since March 2014, 13th January

Tue, 13 Jan 2015 16:55:52 +0000
52.321943035803 0.446214974789423

Since the storm in March 2014 when a tree brought down power lines in Mildenhall Road, Freckenham, we have been without street lights. This is inconvenient and dangerous, especially for pedestrians as an area of pavement adjacent to the meadow is prone to flooding (something else SCC has failed to sort out) so that people are forced to walk in the road, and further down towards the village there is no pavement at all. With dark nights and mornings it is impossible to put the bins out safely and the lack of lighting compromises residents' security.
