Pothole caused by settling of previous repair, 29th October
A trench of some description has been created at this point, presumably to lay a pipe of some sort, The tarmac has settled and there is now a sharp 90 degree edge that is extremely dangerous to cyclists.

Very loose manhole cover, 3rd October
A large rectangular manhole cover on the Northbound lane of the A417 about 18m N of the traffic lights at Newtown Cross is very loose. It 'clangs' each time a vehicle passes over it. Very soon it will fracture, leaving a big hole in the highway surface.

Obstructive advertising sign, 5th December
A private advertising sign has been erected on the grass verge on the South side of the A4103 very close to this road's junction with the C1153. The sign is so placed as to severely interfere with the line of sight of car drivers exiting the C1153, looking towards the east wishing to see if there is approaching traffic from the East on the A4103.
