Road markings not reinstated

B4024 from Herefordshire border to junction with B4215. Centre line markings have not been reinstated since road resurfacing that took place well over a year ago, if not longer. The lack of a centre line poses a significant hazard to all road users, especially in poor visibility, as it is practically impossible to ascertain correct spacing and positioning within the actual road width; particularly hazardous with the addition of overgrown ditches and uneven verges on either side that make the edge of the road nigh on invisible. Road users are at further serious risk in the event of taking evasive action from oncoming traffic not abiding by any form of 'lane discipline' which is exacerbated by the lack of road markings that would define correct spacing and encourage a reduction in speed when a narrowing of the road could be identified. The road also has numerous 'blind' bends that should be identified in advance by the appropriate centre line warnings. Herefordshire have recently resurfaced the B4024 from 5159'25.5"N 229'36.4"W to the county border and the centre road marking were reinstated within two weeks. The B4024 is an unlit, rural road with no pavements that is heavily used by numerous agricultural vehicles and associated HGV. There are numerous footpaths leading off the B4024 utilised by pedestrians and it is also part of the Newent Loop cycle route. It requires particular care and consideration to negotiate safely even in ideal driving/riding conditions. The lack of roadmarkings constitutes a serious risk to the health and safety of all road users.
