Carriageway opposite number 9 Bennetts Lane, 20th March
There are anumber of potholes in Bennetts Lane, existing and developing. A few weeks ago, on a Sunday, a reinstatement team, complete with a hotbox arrived to carry out some more temporary repairs. Some holes were gilled with 10mm DBM, wackered flattish and the crew departed. Four days later, the repair to the one outside number 9 had failed, the material had disappeared and the hole was bigger. Now, unfortunately, for instance, a type 4 road would typically have a construction of 280mm depth, surface, 20mm layer, gsb 803 and so forth. There isno longer much road foundation left, filling 75mm deep holes with 10mm DBM is a waste of time, many of the holes are now through to loose stone and waterlogged backfill. Is there any chance that some of these holes, perhaps the worst ones can be repaired properly so that they last a few months at least in lieu of the road reconstruction which was, we were informed, was to be carried out in 2023. Additionally, the crossing on the A418 near the junction with Bennetts Lane has been damaged and requires urgent attention. Yours hopefully, John Roberts at 11 Bennetts Lane

The drive is sinking and crumbling..dangerous. to drive over and walking over..damage to our car with the dip...a well is underneath and could collapse...this drive needs tarmacadam iv been waiting over 2 years.
