Being roughly 20 miles north-west of the Scotland's central postcode district, G67 is predominantly residential and includes several towns, villages and housing estates such as Seafar, Twechar, Greenfaulds, Abronhill, Westerwood and Castlecary.

Located within easy access to the M8 motorway, residents of G67 have good access to other parts of Glasgow, as well as other towns and cities such as Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth.

Cumbernauld itself is recognised as Scotland's new town and has a population of around 56,000 people. It is home to several major retail stores, supermarkets, retail parks, banks and restaurants, as well as numerous churches, sports and leisure facilities, libraries, and museums. There are also well-established primary and secondary schools in the area, including Cumbernauld Academy, St Kenneth's Primary School, St Patrick's Primary School, Cumbernauld Village Primary, and the Roman Catholic St Mary's Primary School.

There are also many scenic attractions in the G67 area, including Cumbernauld House, Gleneagles Golf Club, and Craigmarloch Nature Reserve. The nearby town of Airdrie is home to an indoor market, theatre and rugby arena and generous transport links via train, coach and bus services.

G67 has a few large-scale parks as well, such as Condor Glen, Bardykes, Seafar Park, and Croy Hill Country Park. The town is also within close proximity of the world-famous Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, with its breathtaking scenery of mountains, forests, rivers and lochs.
