Transport links are good, with various bus routes linking the area to the city centre. It is well served by the Drumchapel railway station connecting the area to Glasgow's outer suburbs. There are also good access links to the city's motorways.

In terms of education, there is a range of high performing schools in the area such as Drumchapel High School, St Ninian's High School and Yoker Primary. There are also a few nurseries, including the Yoker Early Years Centre, Young Generation and Playtime Nurseries.

G31's retail offer is varied and consists of numerous stores in the Drumchapel Shopping Centre, Bridgeton public market and various independent shops located throughout the area.
