Trees on the roadside half of west side of road look unstable., 24th May
There are some very large over hanging trees along this section of road in the valley area, going up towards Grimscott village, that during windy weather, often drop large branches into the road causing hazards specially at night or in low visibility. Some are Ash trees which look a bit vulnerable to large branches falling off in the next few months if we get any strong winds. They are also looking a big unstable the way they lean out from the hedge, one tree in this section has already been felled by highways department operatives as it was leaning out enough that tall lorries were in danger of catching it.
The trees need to be surveyed as apart from damaging the passing traffic, the trees are banging against the overhear telephone lines.
