All four street lights in Causeway not working, 18th August
Last December the four lights stopped working, and though we reported on line, many times, nothing was done until April. But when Weston Power dug up the street to put in new cables to Starre House they stopped again!
It’s getting darker earlier now, and our elderly residents are at risk by the lack of proper lighting.

Parking on pavement insuring visability, 28th July
Poor parking on pavement adjacent to Orchard Car Park. Parking well out from wall and across our drive making access and visibility difficult. Obstructing visibility exiting Orchard Car Park - see photo. This is a regular occurrence from different cars.

Footpath completely blocked!, 31st December
I have tried several times over the last year to get the path cleared by the Council, but have so far failed. I have contacted our Local Councillor but had no reply. This path is used by lots of people and connects with the Southwest Coast path. Also the road gutter is fill of debris and the verge is not visible. People walk on the grass which is now slippery and worn out.

Tree presevation order request, 17th October
This island opposite our house is privately owned but has had no maintenance done to it for at least 30 years. The residents have kept it tidy. The owner is attempting to sell the land and has cut down six trees already. The trees left are beech trees and are home to squirrels, pigeons, crows and woodpeckers.

Rough road surface on busy village road., 3rd January
The road surface at the junction of Barnards farm is a disgrace, and extremely dangerous for all road users!! It needs resurfacing ASAP, and not some quick patch job!!

Parking without a permission, 11th November
Dear parking officers , Cars has been parked without parking permits on regular basis especially after 5 o’clock and during a night time ,this is permit holder only area and no warden patrols has been enforced,can you please send some parking wardens to petrol regular as we have no parking space available as a resident. It’s very annoying because tonight is there 8 cars without a permit holders. Regards

Street lights permanently on, 25th October
The street lights are on 24/7, which is a total waste of electricity and goes against dark sky policy. This has been reported directly to Devon County Council, but with no response and no sign of a fix.

Large pothole causing near crashes!, 21st August
This pothole has steadily been growing and now it is hard to avoid without going extreamly close to the hedge of risking a head on crash because of the blind corner.

Large pothole on a steep hill and at the mouth of a junction. Very dangerous.

Loading Bay being used as private parking for car trailer, 20th February
Loading Bay being used as private parking for car trailer flouting many laws.. continually on double yellow lines or zigzags and NEVER receives a ticket!! The loading Bay line markings have worn due to roadworks and have not been repainted. This is affecting deliveries to all the businesses along Beer Road.
